ArcheAge
Forever

ArcheAge on the modern 64-bit client, with progression reworked around crafted gear. No Hiram, no Erenor. Free to play, open for testing.

Reworked Progression, Modern Client

Version 10.0 brought the engine, the 64-bit client and years of fixes. It also brought a gear grind most players never finished. We kept the first part.

Progression Rebuilt

Gear you craft and earn, Illustrious to Ayanad. No Hiram. No Erenor.

  • Gear is crafted with the client's modern crafting system
  • Newer zones and content get loot that fits this progression
  • Staged so late starters catch up; every change in the patch notes first

The 10.0 Client, 64-bit

The newest engine and interface, with the progression rebuilt underneath.

  • 64-bit client: better frame rates, no memory crashes on big fights
  • Fourteen skill trees, six races, Auroria open
  • Play in English, Russian, Chinese or Korean from the launcher

Fair to Everyone

Nothing to buy that makes you stronger. The things you'd normally pay for, everyone gets.

  • Free Patron for every account
  • No pay-to-win: the Marketplace sells cosmetics and convenience only
  • Boosted rates, tuned so the climb is a season, not a job

The Plan for Progression

A crafted-gear climb built with the 10.0 client's mechanics. This is the direction, not a promise: everything here can change as testing goes on.

Crafted Gear Tiers, Made the Modern Way

The gear tiers are the spine of progression, made with the client's current crafting system rather than the old RNG regrade path. Hiram and Erenor are not part of launch.

Illustrious→Magnificent→Epherium→Delphinad→Ayanad

Newer Content, Reworked to Fit

The zones, dungeons and systems added over the years stay in the game, but their loot tables and rewards are being reworked so they feed this progression instead of skipping past it.

Hiram Later, and Different

Hiram may arrive after launch with a reworked system: a farmed currency instead of gold, and crafting materials for infusions, so land and trade stay worth something at the top end.

Land That Stays Available

Housing area boundaries can be customised per zone, and if all land is taken, farmhands become available only to players who hold no land, so nobody is locked out of farming.

Right now the work is bugs, server infrastructure, and the admin tools and editors that make custom content possible. The gameplay rework lands on top of that, and every step goes in the patch notes.

Fourteen Skill Trees, 364 Classes

Questions

All questions
Is it free?

Yes. There's nothing to buy that makes you stronger, and Patron is on for everyone.

Will my progress be kept?

Not during testing: there's a clean start at launch, announced ahead of time.

What does "no Hiram, no Erenor" mean?

Those are the late gear grinds from the official 10.0 game. They're not part of launch. Gear goes Illustrious → Magnificent → Epherium → Delphinad → Ayanad, crafted and earned.
